1.)Close vs Open Systems?
-Close System-A system in which the specifications are kept secret to prevent interference from third parties;And it keeps third-party hardware from inter-operating with it,and it prevents third-party enhancements from improving the product:Contrast with open system.
-Open System-a system that allows third parties to make products that plug into or interoperate with it.For example, the PC is an open system;Although the fundamental standards are controlled by Microsoft,Intel and AMD, thousands of hardware devices and softare applications are created and sold by other vendors for the PC.
2.)What is Information System?
-In a broad sense, the term Information System (IS) refers to the interaction between people, processes, and technology;Information System are distinct from information technology in that an information system has an information technology component that interacts with the people and processes components.
*Component of (IS) are the computer hardware, software,data,procedures and people.
3.)What is Information Map?
-An Information Map shows the different types of information that is held by a school or section,and also where that information can be found;The map is developed from a basic business analysis of the functions, activities and transactions that take place within the school or section.
